How is it done?

So, how do you choose sunglasses to suit your face? Here are some tips you could follow:

  • If you a face that is heart-shaped, with a narrow jaw line, broad forehead and a chin that is narrow, the sunglasses that suit you most are cat-eye shaped ones. Aviators are also super cool choices if your face is heart-shaped. Cat-eye sunglasses also suit oval faces well. Choose sunglasses that make pointed chin less sharp. Essentially cat-eye designs or aviators soften the pointed chin impact.
  • Huge frames in rectangular shape make a great statement if you have a round face. These sunglasses are bigger than your face and make the roundish, fullish look a little less prominent. If you have a round face and you buy frames that are rimless, the glasses will be a poor accessory as they don’t have strong lines to balance the roundness of your face. If you but a small frame when you have a round face, your face will look wider.
  • If you have a face that is angular, then, you could choose roundish frames for that uber-cool look. This is the opposite of round face – angular frames. A square-shaped face needs a round frame so as to soften the impact of facial lines. A frame that is bigger than the face will balance out the facial proportion.
  • Most frame types would suit an oval-shaped faced; everything goes well. Choose frames which are wider or as wide as the broadest area of the face. This will maintain the balance of your face which is naturally present because of the oval shape.

General tips

In general, when you choose frames, go for ones that are the opposite of the shape of your face. Always try any pair of sunglasses before buying. You would do well to test all styles in an actual store and check what works best for you before you go back and order online.

When you buy sunglasses, make sure you choose the right colors; some colors could make a bad impression against your complexion or may not match with your hair color. Length of hair makes a difference as well. Long hair can soften your facial features while short hair can leave your face stand out.
